As well as its Executive Board of Directors, Thomsons People are well supported by our Central Team, made up of the Finance, Legal & Risk and People teams. However, the majority of Thomsons People work in five functions; these are our Relationship, Technology, Benefit Consulting, Client and Solutions Delivery teams.
The Relationship Team are responsible for our Product Roadmap, Marketing, Sales and Consulting.
The New Business Team develop our relationship with new clients. They are supported by our Marketing and Communications Team who keep both clients and prospective clients updated on developments in the world of reward and at Thomsons Online Benefits. They also manage our extensive events programme and online communications services.
The Product Team are responsible for bringing to market the software products and services that Thomsons provides. And finally, our consulting team provide thought leadership and guidance to help our clients get the most value from their benefits programme.
Thomsons’ employee benefits software, Darwin™, was originally developed from our London headquarters. We now operate a ‘follow the sun’ workflow, with teams based in London, Singapore and Romania. We use the Agile Software Development methodology to constantly improve our products releasing new features almost every month.
The Technology Team develop and manage all areas of our technology, including our Software Engineering, Technology Services, DevOps, Architecture, Business Analysis, Security, Product Support and Service Desk teams.
Benefit Consulting Team
The Benefit Consulting Team assist new and existing Thomsons' clients across Communications, Health & Wellbeing, Pensions and Employee Guidance.
The Communications Team use the client's requirements to develop a communications strategy and project plan at launch, as well as annual benefit renewals and on ad hoc projects.
The Pensions team are responsible for the consulting, arranging and implementation of pension schemes and pension transfers.
The Client Team looks after all our clients post go-live and has three components; Account Management, Administration and Employee Help Desk.
The Help Desk Team is an employee focused call centre operation. This team is the voice of Thomsons, and our mission is to deliver an excellent and consistent experience for all employees that contact us.
Account Management is the primary contact point for a Thomsons client. This includes relationship management, ensuring the account is serviced to our high standards, and helping the client develop their ongoing reward strategy. The Admin team has a number of roles that primarily support our clients with their use of Darwin™ and any queries they have in relation to benefit or pension providers.
Solutions Delivery Team
Solutions Delivery is made up of a variety of specialisms including Project Management and Client Delivery Management, Benefits Consulting and Scheme Design and Darwin™ Configuration. They are responsible for ensuring that we deliver successfully to clients on time, on budget and in line with their objectives.
