Like most organisations Thomsons Online Benefits has an Executive Board of Directors, Finance and HR team, however, the majority of people work in four key business development functions; relationship, client projects, client services and development teams.

Relationship team

The Relationship team is responsible for developing and managing our partnership with new and existing clients. The team includes Account Directors, Account Managers, Pensions Consultants, Product Development and Marketing and Communications professionals.

Client relationships begin with an Account Director who remains responsible for the ongoing strategic direction of that business relationship. Once a new reward programme has launched, the Account Management team take care of its day-to-day management. They ensure that the service is being delivered in accordance with its individual service level agreement and communicate new services or changes as appropriate.

Our Product Development professionals ensure that the Darwin™ reward platform delivers cutting edge technology and our Consultancy team provides clients with up to date advice on pensions and benefits matters.

Our Marketing and Communications team keep clients up-to-date with developments both in the world of reward and Thomsons Online Benefits and manages our events programme and online communications services.

Client Projects team

The Client Projects team is responsible for creating and launching Intelligent Reward™ programmes with our clients around the world. It is a single global team comprised of a number of disciplines, including flexible benefits scheme design, pensions, health & wellbeing, Darwin™ technology implementation, employee communications, reward scheme branding services and project management.

They are involved right from the outset of every new client relationship and ensure that every new project is delivered on time and to the agreed specification. Our specialists and project managers are highly skilled and experienced professionals who ensure that clients are involved with complete transparency at every stage.

Client Services team

The Client Services team has one simple focus - to deliver excellence to every client and its employees. The team is comprised of Account Managers, Customer Service and Training professionals.

Service delivery is managed using a computerised task management system that logs every activity that has taken place, or is in progress on a particular scheme, so that everyone knows the exact status of all the appropriate tasks and actions and that service level agreements are being met.

Training clients on how to get the most from their investment in Darwin™ and support for employees looking for guidance on their benefits options is also managed in this team.

Development team

The Development team is responsible for driving forward the ongoing development of our award-winning third generation software, Darwin™.

With a team of creative, detail focused software development professionals, Thomsons Online Benefits is able to deliver the cutting edge benefits administration technology at lightening pace.

Software is developed in-house, using a single code line, which means that all our clients globally use the latest version without the usual upgrade headaches. By using an ‘agile’ development methodology, the Development team continually releases innovative enhancements on an ongoing basis.
