Thomsons Online Benefits partnered with insurethebox to implement a new pensions and benefits package to assist with recruitment and retention and reduce the administrative burden of running a benefits strategy. They also wanted to be seen as an employer of choice. The pension scheme also enabled employees to save NI via salary sacrifice and there was a generous employer pension contribution to encourage all employees to participate.There was excellent feedback from employees about the combined technology and the face to face communications that took place. Over 90% of employees joined the pension scheme, and ongoing annual NIC savings of over £12,000 were generated from pension salary sacrifice.
