Employee benefits engagement

However well designed a benefits scheme is, it won’t provide a worthwhile return on investment if employees don’t know about it, don’t understand it, don’t engage with it and don’t value it throughout their career with their employer.

An effective employee communications programme is, therefore, just as important as a well thought out benefits scheme. We are all bombarded with media messages, at both work and home which means that the visual impact and relevance of communicating benefits has never been more important in ensuring that employers really achieve value from their reward spend.

At Thomsons Online Benefits we work with our clients to ensure that the right benefit messages go to the right employees at the right time. When revitalising an existing reward scheme, or launching a brand new one, a high impact communications programme is vital. Effective communication activities don’t simply stop after launches. Engagement at key points in an employee’s career cycle such as after probation periods, a promotion, or a life event like getting married or having children, is just as essential.

How we work with clients

Our experienced communications consultants, employer brand experts and design team work with clients to deliver a tailor-made communications strategy that visibly delivers real engagement with employees.

Firstly, we set up a ‘Hub’ session to gather information about the size and demographics of the employee audience and the goals and values of the organisation. That way, we know exactly how to create a programme that will really resonate with each individual and develop measures to manage its success.

Secondly, we develop a communications strategy and creative proposals with our ‘Imaginarium’ design team.

Finally, we deploy our ‘Launch Pad’ team to deliver the programme and, most importantly, measure the results using the Darwin™ Control Centre.
