We are looking for a designer who feels comfortable dealing with both internal stakeholders and clients at the same time. Must have excellent communication skills and fit within a dynamic, agile and vibrant team of Creative Designers and Communication Consultants.
Creating, managing and delivering creative design and artwork for the Communications department
Managing production throughout the lifecycle of the creative project, liaising with printers, digital agencies, freelance designers and internal stakeholders
Successfully delivering own tasks/activities or as directed by Creative Manager
Liaise and build a relation with the client, designers and consultants to identify and execute the creative brief to the client satisfaction (external or internal)
Work to a budget defined in hours, being able to deliver on time without compromising the quality, managing a workload of several projects and clients simultaneously
Create and produce design projects to a high standard and be responsible for the design brief including liaising with the Creative Manager or Senior Creative Designer and requesting advice, proof checks or stage development meetings where necessary to ensure it answers the brief and always before final approval/delivery
To understand and work within brand and corporate guidelines where relevant
To create and develop internal benefit and/or HR branding and all deliverables requested for its roll out
To research and develop new creative digital products that are effective as communication channels and engaging as communication tools
To create already established digital channels such as responsive websites, blogs, HTML coded emails, augmented reality campaigns or interactive video
To share the knowledge and train the rest of the team on new technologies and digital software
To use your experience and knowledge to identify and resolve design, artwork and print challenges
To communicate progress at every stage of the design and artwork process for the smooth running of work and planning schedules
To provide the business with best value by estimating and managing time accurately ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality
To produce dummies, mock-ups and presentation boards to a high level of finish for internal and external presentation
To take responsibility for continuous personal development and learning, helping to identify objectives and opportunities for skills development
To make available detailed project notes to assist in the smooth handover of work during a foreseeable absence.
Track record of producing quality, creative designs for multiple clients
Excellent time management skills and experience in working under pressure to strict deadlines across multiple projects
Multi-disciplined with good interpersonal and relationship building skills
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
A good level of understanding of data management for print production
Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Flash, Premiere, Muse, Edge
Online publishing such as Word Press and similar
Advance HTML and basic/intermediate coding skills
Microsoft office suite
A portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of both print and digital based work and clients
High typography and layout skills
Accuracy – in everything
Close attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
A team player who is able to adapt and support the Communications team
Ability to explain in an articulate manner, the thinking and rationale behind the creative
