Senior / Lead .NET Software Engineer

Our Software Engineering team is globally distributed in London, Cluj and Singapore, with the biggest located in Cluj, composed of 20+ engineers, from Junior to Senior and Architecture. 

We work in an Agile environment, constantly up to date with the market needs and newest technologies, to be able to build a high performance and scalable product, supporting a fast and continuously growing global business.

You will be closely working with our product Darwin™, a cloud-based global benefits management and employee engagement software, used by some of the world’s most innovative companies.

 

What will you be doing:

Project Ownership and Development:
  • In charge of one or more software projects and development plans
  • Responsible for the underlying architecture of the software
  • Overseeing the work being done by the other software engineers on the project
  • Technical advisers to management and provide programming perspective on requirements
  • Sets the technical direction, by consulting with the team and architects, and considering all arguments (including research of new technologies to use)
  • Facilitate group collaboration and involvement in design and technical decisions
  • Reviews designs and technical decisions with the Architecture group
  • Provide guidance and insight on development techniques and methodologies
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
  • Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
  • Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards.
  • Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code.
 
Coaching and Mentoring:
  • Encourage and help the team improve their skills, and guide/mentor them in their personal development plans and career growth
  • Help the team to be more productive by working smarter, more efficiently and by using better techniques
  • Provide technical leadership to teammates through coaching and mentorship
  • Mentor/coach individuals into achieving their business/personal development objectives
  • Identify development needs, be able to give constructive feedback, and motivate team members to always improve
  • Help team members engage with the delivery goals

Training: 

  • Get involved in various team development projects by leading various training activities, like coding Dojo’s, technical presentations, best practices, hands-on workshops, sharing experiences from attended workshops/conferences, lead the innovation week

We are looking for a PINK person, with:

    • Agile development experience and full software development life cycle experience
    • At least 4 years of experience in software development (web and server side applications)
    • Service Oriented Architecture
    • Message queues and event-driven services
    • Continuous deployment strategies
    • Solid technical skills and experience with:

  • Previous experience in leading development teams
