About the Team

The Company is currently seeking a fast-learning, motivated, highly organised and detail driven individual to play an important role within the Bid Team. The Bid Manager will be required to work closely with the Senior Sales, Client & Commercial Teams to develop detailed responses to bid and tender documents, taking the lead on the bid management process whilst ensuring our bid library is up to date and in line with business and commercial priorities.

 

The Role and Your Mission

  • Contribute to planned and sustained business growth through the successful completion and progression of all bids and tenders received within the business across both new business and client success.

  • Undertake the management and completion of all pre-qualification and tender submissions in line with tender instructions and internal guidelines.

  • Ensure a compliant bid is submitted in line with the required deadline including the management of the document formatting and production process to ensure that all bids are submitted to a consistent and high quality.

  • Ensure that all aspects of the bid criteria are completed in line with tender instructions and achieving tender deadlines by managing and motivating subject matter experts in the business effectively.

  • Liaise with third parties / partners on any joint submissions.

  • Key delivery of KPIs including conversion rates from tender submission to completion to the next stage in the sales cycle.

  • Management of version control of all bid administration procedures, ensuring all relevant approvals are secured pre-bid submission.

  • Monitor, review and evaluate bids/tenders proactively, identify learning from all submitted bids and ensure that lessons are addressed and reflected in future bids/tenders.

  • Contribute to the management of the online bid library, ensuring that all content is kept current and liaising with subject matter experts where applicable.

  • Co-ordinate client references for use within bids.

 

What Skills and Values you will bring:

  • Experience of writing complex bids is essential.

  • Experience within the software, technology or HR sector is advantageous.

  • Have a proven track record of successful delivery of a bid process within a corporate environment.

  • Demonstrable ability to manage high value bids to a defined process with a track record of delivering quality bids in a timely fashion.

  • High level of competence of Microsoft Office is essential. A working knowledge of InDesign is desirable.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple projects and perform under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence where required.

  • Proven competence in document formatting including the representation of graphical information.

  • Evidence of analytical skills and attention to detail, producing appropriate, accurate, high quality written work within challenging work limits.

  • Sufficient numeracy to understand the implications of project budgets and qualify pricing submissions where required.

  • Ability to manage relationships with subject matter experts including conflict management.

  • Evidence of ability to create a tender / bid library and associated process is advantageous.
