The team have contributed more than 30% to the company’s growth, which is an outstanding performance, and with the continued demand for our technology this team is set to grow and flourish.

With the support of our internal winning teams our Business Development Director’s will have the resources to engage and sell Darwin to the top companies in the world.

New sales people at Thomsons join a highly experienced team with sales support and enablement, client solutions and a supportive network of colleagues to collaborate on in transformational opportunities. 

 

 

The role and your mission:

The HR Technology sector is going through significant growth as companies of all sizes look to maximise the engagement of their people, create global efficiencies and drive ROI from their technology purchases.

As a Sales Leader within Thomsons you will sell with integrity and build a pipeline with Global Enterprise prospects. This role is an exciting opportunity to utilise your experience in the world of SaaS technology sales, selling to leading businesses with complex sales cycles, working alongside our Mercer colleagues, and navigating through senior decision makers in a growing business where your talents will be fully tested and developed further. The key role objectives and activities are:

  • Successfully hitting your sales targets with the full support of the business
  • Plan a sales strategy for your region and coherently present to Thomsons senior management
  • Creating a qualified new business pipeline with Enterprise businesses, with a strong appreciation of personal contribution, grasp of latest data relating to opportunities and pipeline movements
  • Work with your colleagues in Mercer to establish combined opportunities and further pipeline
  • Liaising with the target audience at prospects, namely the HR leadership team, key HRIS, procurement and legal stakeholders at HQ and in local markets
  • Collaborating with Client Solutions (pre-sales), Solutions Delivery and Client Management to ensuring the best pre and post-sales experience for the client
  • Updating and inputting accurate data into Salesforce.com

 

What skills & values you will bring:

  • Highly disciplined and organised
  • Demonstrable experience selling SaaS software (experience in HR Tech is a nice to have), an understanding of the tech sales process and related business models
  • Track record of building a new business pipeline at the same time as executing contracts. Evidenced track record of achieving sales quota
  • Experience in B2B sales and managing complex sales cycles end-to-end
  • Trained in solution/value selling or exposure to solution/value selling
  • Understanding of stakeholder management and the various roles of the buyer in the sales process (we use the Miller Heiman methodology)
  • A history or knowledge of the HCM software industry is advantageous
  • Keen interest in the value of technology in business and how this can transform employees’ lives
  • Salesforce or comparable CRM system knowledge
  • Self-motivated, focussed, ambitious and highly professional with a strong sense of fun!
