About the team:

The commercial team are critical to the growth and success of the business. In the last few years we have seen double digit growth and our sales team continues to grow and flourish. We sell with integrity and look to build lasting relationships with our clients. Due to a promotion we are looking for a Commercial Director to manage our Business Development Directors and sales teams in EMEA. This role will report directly to the Global Sales VP.

 

The role and your mission:

  • Directly manage the new business sales teams based in the UK
  • Mentoring, coaching and developing the existing team
  • Attending and assisting pitches when required
  • Encouraging best practices and value selling within each sale cycle
  • Building key relationships internally to ensure collaboration
  • Working closely with Client solutions, Client Team and Solutions delivery
  • Aiding in marketing content and advise on marketing direction
  • Forecast and report sales activity and pipeline to the Commercial SVP
  • Ensure the CRM is being utilised and updated where appropriate
  • Collaborating with Mercer (our parent company) to ensure a smooth joint sales cycle for prospects

 

What skills & values you will bring:

  • Solid history of new business sales either in benefits industry, SaaS or software industry is a must
  • Proven track record of exceeding new business targets
  • Experience in mentoring, leading and managing a team is preferred
  • Experience working with Enterprise clients across EMEA
  • An indepth knowledge of value /solution selling
  • C- level and Director level sales experience
  • A commercial mindset
  • A motivation to develop and mentor others
  • Strategic thinking
