About the team:

Our Interface team own the consulting and specification of interfaces between Darwin™ and third party systems (client payroll / HRIS systems and benefit providers) across the whole range of projects undertaken by Thomsons, therefore directly impacting clients’ experience in using our technology.

 

The role and your mission:

As our Interface Analyst, you will have great visibility within the business, working in close collaboration with our technology, account management and professional services team as the subject matter expert for bespoke reporting needs.

Aside from learning new tools, you will develop strong stakeholder management skills and communicate specification requirements with ease with both technical and non-technical partners (such as our internal configuration team, as well as 3rd party benefit and HRIS providers).

You will achieve this by:

  • Consulting with clients to gather requirements and document Interface specifications
  • Using the In-House developed Janus reporting tool to configure interfaces and reports to accurately represent the client;s business and meet their functional requirements
  • Accountable for quality of own project deliverables
  • Accountable for budget of own project and successfully managing scope and Change Control
  • Managing testing of new and existing functionality to defined specifications/requirements and supporting clients in this activity

 

What skills and values you will bring:

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to adapt the communication of technical requirements to various client audiences
  • A good understanding of the project life-cycle/structured project management methodologies and the ability to translate these concepts in the development of client deliverable.
  • Knowledge of data manipulation tools e.g. Excel – ideally VBA, report writing, payroll knowledge.
  • Previous Employee Benefits Consulting experience/Payroll/HR/industry knowledge desirable
