About the team:

Our commercial teams are reaching new horizons within the United States markets and we are looking to welcome a new business development director to join our US operations. The team are spread globally but have worked hard to build an inclusive team who really enable and help each other to thrive. If you want to be part of an innovative technology company with limitless opportunity then I would love to hear from you. 

 

Your mission will be:

  • To actively own a territory of prospective clients within the US

  • To build a new business pipeline of prospective clients

  • To utilise a consultative selling approach, based on value selling

  • To be a champion of Thomsons Online Benefits within the US market

  • Working with Directors and C-level clients on complex, strategic deals

  • Meet and exceed your sales quota

  • Work closely with the internal client solutions, solutions delivery and client team to ensure a brilliant client experience

  • Collaborate with Mercer (our parent company) on joint value proposition and joint deals

  • Utilisation of our CRM system and accurate data input

  • To work remotely but with frequent visits to HQ and the US offices

 

What skills & values you will bring:

  • Solid experience and track record of securing new business

  • A history of solution selling/value selling

  • Experience in delivering pitches to senior stake holders and C level clients

  • Experience of working within a SaaS provider, employee software or software is a must

  • Benefit industry knowledge or exposure would be highly beneficial 

  • Self motivation and drive to deliver on your targets whilst selling with integrity

  • Strategic thinking

  • Collaborative nature and experience working with diverse teams
