Our client Aspen won gold at the Employee Benefits Awards, held in London on Friday 7 June.

The 17th annual awards ceremony celebrates achievements in the employee benefits industry. Winners are recognised for their innovation and for making a significant difference to their organisations through their reward strategies. Since 2011, Thomsons’ clients have won 28 Employee Benefits Awards!

This year, Aspen picked up the ‘Best flexible benefits plan’ accolade for completely transforming their benefits offering. Aspen partnered with us to deliver a flexible scheme that gives employees access to the benefits they need to support their individual lifestyles. We worked together on marketplace benchmarking, employee surveys and focus groups and with the insight gained from these, devised a new offering tailored to Aspen’s diverse workforce. By overhauling their scheme and putting the choice of benefits in employees’ hands, Aspen saved in excess of £800,000, and up to four days a month in HR administration time. Our client Arm was also shortlisted for the ‘Best benefits to support work-life balance’ category. Arm’s FlexPot provides employees with a unique annual pot of money to spend on almost anything to improve their health and wellbeing, from funding for further education to donating money straight to charity.
