We are now just a few days away from one of the biggest HR tech events of the year - HR Technology Conference and Expo in Vegas. I am really looking forward to the conference as there always seems to be a whole lot of new exciting things going on.  In fact, if you are anything like me, you can even feel overwhelmed by the wealth of options on display. So, to help you you catch the best parts and make the most of 2015’s event, I thought I’d share the  top 6 things I will be doing, seeing and experiencing at this year’s HR Tech:

1. Explore the new technologies at the Awesome New Startups for HR

As a Co-Founder of an HR technology company, there is nothing more exciting than seeing all the latest and greatest innovations in HR. Last year we joined the party and exhibited at HR Tech for the first time. The welcome, reaction and conversations we held are still being felt one year on. So much so, that we have decided to come back for more again this year!

2. Get a Pink Revolution cocktail at the Opening Night Reception

I love the Opening Night Reception when everyone is full of energy and excited for the conference to begin. It is a perfect opportunity to meet new people, network and grab a few drinks before all the madness begins on Monday. As our pink cocktails were such a hit last year, we are serving them again at our booth 2435 this year, so do come along  and enjoy some delicious cocktails and desserts. Revolutions on the house!

3. Choose your sessions wisely and learn about Awesome New Technologies

It’s great to see some of our key partners like ADP and SuccessFactors being recognized as the best new technologies at this year’s event. Definitely a session to watch closely. However, make sure you attend other fantastic sessions as well to learn about what else is out there.

4. Network with your peers

I’ve rarely seen such a great and powerful group of HR leaders, influencers and best technology vendors in one place. While it is great to learn what other professionals and companies are doing during sessions, it is also very important to network and take the opportunity to learn from some of the best HR experts on how technology can help you achieve your business goals in the year ahead.

5. Participate in HR Gives Back

This is a great new initiative that allows the HR community to give back and help the Michael J. Fox Foundation to find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease. Fitbit will be doing a challenge onsite, which should be a lot of fun. We will also be participating by donating $10 for every single demo we conduct at our booth 2435. We are hoping to raise at least $1,000 for this cause, so we encourage you to come by and give back!

6. Wander around the Expo Hall and discover the latest products

It’s not surprising that a lot of companies are launching their most exciting products at HR Tech. It is worth staying on top of all the innovations, but make sure you do your research beforehand to find out which booths you should visit first. For example, we will be unveiling the first ever global benefits analytics tool – Darwin Analytics Centre - on Monday, October 19th at 4:30 pm. Besides the official launch and demo we will be marking this event by serving champagne at our booth, so make it a date;  ensure you stop by and raise a glass with us!

Whatever your goals and focus for HR Tech this year, I am sure you will have a great event, full of learning, fun experiences and great connections. My team and I are getting ready to rock Vegas and hope we see you at some point over the 3 days.
